How To Make Rosewater – It Can Cure Dry Skin, Bad Hair And Dark Circles

When a person thinks of rosewater, maximum people imagine a bathtub filled with water and roses petals. Namely, rosewater is highly prized for its source of perfume, medicinal use, and nutritional properties.
In fact, rose essential oil is probably one of the essential oils around. Cleopatra herself used rosewater in her beauty routine. Rose water has been used since 3000 BC; it was extremely valuable in Ancient Egypt and Persia.


Rosewater – Basic Information
Rosewater is basically a by-product of rose oil made through distillation of pure fresh rose petals. Rosewater contains over 300 different chemical compounds. It is also a source of antioxidants such as tannins, flavonoids and rich in essential vitamins like A, C, D, E, and B3. Generally, rose’s water provides antibacterial, soothing, healing and antiseptic properties. But mainly, rosewater is popular in many skin care routines. It soothes and improves the condition of the dry and aging skin. It also purifies and cleanses your skin. In addition, rose water is very beneficial for hair; it increases blood flow to the scalp (which helps nourish and strengthen hair follicles).

How to Prepare Rosewater?
Ingredients:
  • water
  • Rose petals (obtained from a bunch of fresh roses)
  • A relatively large pot.
Instructions:
  1. Take the rose petals and wash them thoroughly
  2. Take two cups of boil water. After that, pour the boiled water on top of the fresh rose petals. Use a lid to cover the large bowl and leave the mixture for half an hour. The petals should lose their natural color.
  3. Next, strain the content.
  4. Pour the water in bottles and store them in the fridge.
  5. Keep in mind that you should use roses that were not treated with herbicides and insecticides. In other words, use organic roses.
 A Few Ways to Use Homemade Rosewater
Calming sunburns – just massage the problematic area with rosewater and rest while this water is doing its job.
Removal of eye makeup – mix one ounce of jojoba oil with one ounce of rosewater. Put the mixture in a clean container, shake the content and use it.
Bug bites – apply some rose water on the bites.
Natural toner – a rosewater-based toner is great for dealing with wrinkles and acne. Wash the face thoroughly, take a cotton ball, soak it in rosewater and use it on the skin. Stay away from the eyes.
Disinfection – use rosewater to eliminate bacteria and harmful microorganisms.
Perfume – take some jasmine essential oil and pour it in the rosewater. Use a sprayer to get the perfect scent.
Headaches – take a towel and dip it in rosewater. Next, use the towel on your forehead to ease an intense headache.
